Kiln Floating Sauna is now open at Navy Pier Marina, marking the launch of Chicago’s first floating sauna, and a new cold-weather wellness experience on Lake Michigan.

Founded by Chicago-based entrepreneur Zoe Lake, Kiln is a custom-built floating sauna designed to offer guided thermic cycles, alternating heat, cold, rest, and hydration with an unbeatable skyline view. Docked beneath the iconic Navy Pier Ferris wheel, Kiln brings Nordic tradition to one of the city’s most historic destinations.

β€œNavy Pier is deeply woven into Chicago’s history, and being able to launch my business here feels very special,” said Lake. β€œKiln was built to slow people down, help them reconnect with their bodies, and experience winter and the lake in a completely new way.”

The floating sauna features a handcrafted cedar interior, panoramic city views, and professionally guided sessions suitable for newcomers and experienced sauna-goers. Kiln will operate through the spring and can accommodate up to six guests for an intimate, restorative experience.

Kiln is woman-owned, locally operated, and built with safety, community, and sustainability in mind. Advance reservations are required, and gift cards are available.
