Winter Fishing Pass Application

Marina Pier Fishing Pass allows pass holders limited access to designated fishing areas on the piers of Navy Pier Marina from November 21 – February 28.

Docks permitted for use:

  • Access through Gates A and D only.
  • Fishing Piers 1 – 5, 16 – 19, and West Margin.
  • Subject to changes posted on the gates from time to time.
  • Note: Docks May Be Closed for Construction without prior notice.

Important information to note:

  • Access provided by NPM Venture LLC dba Navy Pier Marina. This Fishing Pass is valid only by Bearer named and is not transferable and may not be traded or sold. Violations of any conditions of this Pass will result in immediate revocation without refund. Fishing Pass will be required for each angler fishing from the Marina piers (persons under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times and are not required to possess their own Fishing Pass).
  • Access for sport fishing only. Access to these premises and docks is allowed only to authorized users. Access is allowed from November 21, 2025 through February 28, 2026, daily from 6 AM until 6 PM.
  • Cost: $20.00
  • Bearer must comply with all posted regulations. Bearer must be in possession of this permit and a valid IDNR Fishing License at all times while using these facilities.
  • Property Damage: Property damage to these docks and facilities by either authorized or unauthorized users is strictly prohibited, and Navy Pier Marina reserves the right to close these docks at any time. Persons who damage these premises will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK. HAZARDS EXIST AND THE DOCKS ARE NOT WINTER MAINTAINED. Entry onto this dock releases NPM Venture LLC and its affiliates, Navy Pier Inc, MPEA, and the City of Chicago and their officers, agents, and employees from any and all liability for claims related to their use, including injuries or death. Full waiver of claims required with paid application.

Submit application, once approved, applicant will receive an email with link through Dockwa to review agreement, accept terms and conditions and pay $20 fishing pass fee. Upon confirmation of acceptance of terms and conditions and payment, applicant will receive pass and personal access code to open gates A or D.
